                              Creon 10000 U is a prescription pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT) manufactured by Abbott (distributed by Mylan Medical SAS, France). Each gastro-resistant capsule contains 150mg of pancreatin derived from porcine pancreas powder, providing 10,000 U.Ph.Eur. lipase, 8,000 U.Ph.Eur. amylase, and 600 U.Ph.Eur. protease activity. It is indicated for exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) in adults and children including cystic fibrosis, chronic documented pancreatitis with steatorrhea above 6g\/24h, and post-pancreatic resection (cephalic or total). Gastro-resistant capsules protect the enzymes from stomach acid and release them in the small intestine where digestion occurs. 60 capsules per bottle.
